Sometimes The Munch can get so stressed out.  It is like she has baby anxiety or something.

“Mamma… Mamma…MAMMA!!!!! I NEED THE BIG SOAP! Not the little soap THE BIG ONE! Waaaaaahhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”

“Munch, that is fine! You don’t need to freak out about it.  Just talk to me.  Tell me which soap you want.  It is not big deal!”

“Wahhhhhaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!! AHAHHHHHAAAAHHHHHHAAAA!”

So I talked about this in mommy group the other day, and it was kind of implied that she was picking up on my stress, because children are emotional spongy and effected by our moods. (Psssst… hey babies… grow a fucking spine already).

I didn’t feel like I had been acting like a stress case, but I maybe I was being that way unconsciously?  So I decided to ask The Munch about it while she was FREAKING out because she wanted to wear the Cookie Monster diaper, NOT the Big Bird one.

“Munch, are you stressed out?”

“Yeah! I am stressed out!”

“You are? Why? Is it because Mamma has been acting stressed out?”

“NO! You are not stressed out, I AM STRESSED OUT!”

Oooooooookkkkkkkaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy

So then I started looking up what “stress” was on the internet, which led me to looking up all sorts of mental conditions.  Holy crap you guys! Munch has like all of these! Is she just a total psycho, or is it something about being two?

Bipolar: a psychiatric diagnosis for a mood disorder in which people experience disruptive mood swings that encompass a frenzied state known as mania.

(Pretty fucking familiar)

Multiple Personalities: a mental disorder characterized by at least two distinct and relatively enduring identities or dissociated personality states that alternately control a person’s behavior.

(She is always pretending to be her bear, or her baby, or her stroller!!!)

Anxiety Disorder: psychiatric disorder characterized by excessive rumination, worrying, uneasiness, apprehension and fear about future uncertainties either based on real or imagined events, which may affect both physical and psychological health.

(Ummmmm pretty sure this happens 7 times a day!)

Sociopathy: a pervasive pattern of disregard for, and violation of, the rights of others.

(Yup)

Psychosis: loss of contact with reality.

(Obvi)
