I am a mess.
Example 1: I was babysitting my friend’s son Calvin and he started to get cranky so I thought I would try and rock him to sleep. Meanwhile, The Munch kept coming into the room with this plastic covering for a shampoo bottle that now somehow had water in it. She kept taking sips of the water, and I knew something was off, but what could I do because Calvin was falling asleep me? I kept wondering where The Munch was getting that water, but figured she must have gotten it from the sink… or the bathtub. Yeah… that makes a lot of sense. She crawled up to the sink that is 3- feet high, or crawled into the bathtub that is 2-feet high, turned on the water ever so slightly to fill this small cup without me hearing the water running, and then drank clean faucet water.
I of course realized where The Munch was getting this mysterious water as soon as I put Calvin down and found her in the bathroom getting her delicious drinking water from the toilet!!!!!
Example 2: I like to steam vegetables. The way you do this is by boiling water, and putting a strainer over the boiling water. Now a normal person would remember not to let this go on for too long, because the water will eventually boil away and you could burn your pot. I even said to myself “Toni you should set a timer,” but then when I pulled out my phone to do so, I noticed a text, texted back, and then forgot. Do you know how many pots I have burnt forgetting about my vegetables because I am on the computer? 3. I have ruined 3 pots and today was my fourth.
I cannot learn from my mistakes, and I let my child drink toilet water today. I am a mess.
