My Baby Deserves an Oscar

My baby deserves an Oscar. With all that fake crying and emotional outbursts coming out of nowhere… or maybe is real crying, I can’t tell. You see how convincing she is? She has the tears and everything!

You see this is where things get next level with her acting ability. She can be in the throws of sorrow with tears of unimaginable sadness cascading down her face, all because I took my computer cord out of her mouth. I am not trying to be a jerk, but something about metal, electricity and a moist baby mouth seems like a bad idea. I know… I am a really good parent. But I want her to calm down because she wont let me bottle her baby tears for profit, so I try picking her up and swinging her upside down. Within seconds she will be laughing hysterically having the best time. How does she go from one extreme to another so seamlessly? Someone give this baby an award!

But I think there is something to learn from the way babies allow emotions to pass through them. You know how when you get into a fight with someone and they apologize, but you don’t want to forgive them? They try to make things peaceful, and you can’t stop holding onto the anger and negativity? Why do we do that? Or if you are having a bad day because your boss is being a douche, and then you are a douche to everyone you come across. You just spread the douche energy like a douche bag at a brothel.

I have a suggestion for you. The next time someone doesn’t give you what you want, or someone takes some thing from you, just look them directly in their face and cry. Maybe even add a scream, a crumble to the floor, or even throw your head back violently so it hits the back of your chair and makes you cry harder. That is a pretty good effect. But if they make an effort to make you feel better, immediately stop crying and be filled with joy and contentment. Because, hey, if you are lucky they might play “this little piggie” with your toes to make you laugh. And if they don’t… suggest it… and if they don’t comply, repeat the excessive belligerent crying process.

Okay Munch… this is your big love scene with the monkey, and it is going on your reel so make it count!
