There are theories on why babies don’t talk… and experiments that scientists ummm… experiment with to try and prove one idea or another. But nothing is certain. And I think I know why. Okay, fine… I obviously don’t KNOW why… but I have a theory that is just as good as any scientist who makes fun of you behind your back for not understanding particle physics. You know how those scientists are…
Think about it this way. What is the greatest mystery of life? The one question everyone has, and no body knows the answer to. What happens when we die?
I think people are obsessed about the end of life, because that is where we are heading. Every second of everyday, we are closer to death. But isn’t the question “where were we before we are born?” just as valid? Isn’t it all a part of the same cycle of life and how something can come from nothing? I mean, I get that the little spermie has to swim into the little eggie and wiggle inside… I am after all a science genius, obvi… but is the exact moment of fertilization when our consciousness is formed? Then why don’t we remember being in the womb? Why don’t we remember our births, or our babyhood? Why does it take us years to say anything of value? And when we do talk, why don’t we talk about the experience of the beginning of life?
Because babies know too much.
Babies know the secrets of existence. They have just experienced the absolute craziness of creation. That is probably why they are so silent… it is just too much information to put into words. Maybe babies understand all the mysteries of the universe that could never be comprehended through the confines of language. And by the time the get around to talking, they know that we adults just wouldn’t get it anyway, so they might as well just keep it to themselves. And then they forget… because they are only babies.
“Why would I tell you all the secrets of the cosmos when you make sit in a field where there are probably snakes and bees?”
